There was a handful of novels and light novels that explored this concept easily a decade or more before RPO. It especially became popular sometime in the mid 2000s I remember a bunch of popular light novels coming out around that time. I'm personally imagining Zuckerberg as a .hack fanatic like myself and my brother were back in '03. |
