Thing that helped me with avoiding this kind of problem was learning about wabi sabi[0]. A mindset of accepting and finding beauty in imperfection.

It’s a book optimized for arguing with rationalists (who among other things think overthinking can solve every problem) so some of the points seem irrelevant to most people, but they can be useful.

Not wabi-sabi specifically but the book "How to be an imperfectionist" was spot on and really helpful for me
I've read "Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers" by Leonard Koren 978-0981484600. It's a bit pretentious, but helped me think about the concept on my own.
