It seems to me that both the militant believers and the militant non-believers always have a "they" to point to as the reason for their militancy. I suppose everyone forgot about the individualist nature of protestantism. |

The initial comparison she makes to 'monogamous people' is not really explored. She ascribes some of her own judgements to monogamy at the end, but it's not really based on anything that monogamous people do or say. It's mostly her own reasoning about herself, generalities and an anecdote about her friend in real life.
