While my system is admittedly hacky, anyone I would hand development off to would be able to pick it up much easier than the company's pipeline, as it uses the tools they know and is pretty basic... none of them know the CICD pipeline. I used to try to align when possible, but lately it hasn't made a lot of sense. Keeping up with the tooling ends up being the whole job, as they change it every 6 months. This site is a side project to help out the team, not my primary job. I can't be dropping everything each time they decide to switch vendors, change up their variables names, or whatever else they decide to do. |
