I think you might be in the minority on the NDA thing. I don't want to get sued by some dumb dog walking service because I copied their website color scheme and signed an NDA with them.
I agree, signing NDAs left and right for random companies isn’t something I’d do, that’s too risky. If the interview falls through, I would prefer to disappear from the company’s databases (GDPR is great for this).
