I rather think, that an "entrepreneur mind" is neither necessary nor sufficient to start an innovative company. It just gives a better story for the media. Or it works like the No True Scotsman falacy: everything that does not fit into the narrative is droped as not being relevant. In other words: I will not deny that there are many success stories in which entrepreneurial thinking plays a role, but there seem to be a large number of hidden champions in which it did not play a central role and a lot of other cases in which people with an overconfidence in their entrepreneurial thinking failed due to a lack of other skills. I myself have witnessed both in my immediate vicinity. |
