This is something I've seen documented since launch, and I'm curious why people (particularly artists) don't bring this up. On a MicroLED panel, slow response times are going to desync your panel with the backlight, which causes all kinds of problems, from weird "halo" effects to crunched colors to who knows what. First video I ever saw documenting it was just a cursor on a black screen, demonstrating how you can actually illuminate each backlight panel individually by moving the mouse around.

Very strange stuff, I'm hoping it's a software issue?

Just my thoughts: maybe the backlight itself is slow, and they were forsed to use slow matrix otherwise it would leat to more color distortions for fast moving objects.
