Naming a company for a founder is common
4 comments

If you're Michael Scott Paper Company.
Or Disney or Ford or McDonald's or Goldman Sachs or 1000s of others. Even in pharmacy, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and many others are named after founders.
Cuban isn’t a founder. He just paid to have his name associated with the company (or rather, the company gave him an ownership stake to use his name).
Yeah it just dawned on me that the first name was added because "Cuban Drugs" probably doesn't sound too nice, ha.
He wasn’t one of the original founders, he was an early investor.
Walmart certainly comes to mind.
And Taco Bell
I didn't know that Bell was the founder's name. Thanks for that tidbit!
Welcome. It’s one of my favourites!
