I've developed on an iPad using Termius SSHed to an EC2 node running tmux. Worked great.

You developed on EC2 then and iPad was your dumb terminal. What is really needed is some sort of native container support so that overpriced gadget could be even useful offline.

Agreed. Just wanted to point out that it is possible if you have a flexible definition of "coding on an iPad".
