I'm not a huge EA person, but, here is what I'd say:

1. You seem to be under the assumption that accumulating wealth is bad. I don't think it is. I don't know what the consensus view is among EA-people, but I assume at least some of them are fairly ok with capitalism in general, and likewise agree that most wealth accumulation is perfectly ok.

I'd even go one step further and say that wealth accumulation is usually a sign of doing good in and of itself - you're creating value for society, which is how you're accumulating wealth. (Again, for the most part - there are edge cases.)

2. Even if it is "moral laundering", is that a bad thing? EA biggest focus is probably on the idea that what we give to matters. All things being equal, it's better for wealthy individuals to donate to the Against Malaria Foundation, rather than to building a new wing of a museum. Both can be a form of "moral laundering", but one is morally superior.
