It’s strictly safer than other cars. Autopilot’s accident rate is one per every 4.3 million miles versus 1 per 480 thousand miles for the non-Tesla US average. Autopilot is nearly 10x safer than the average US driver. It’s really a bummer to see how many commenters are making strong statements informed by neither data nor experience. This whole thread is well below this forum’s normal level of discourse. |
