At least looking at job boards, there's a problem with .NET mostly being stuck in its own stack with little overlap while many jobs existing scoff at the idea of e.g. letting Java and .NET devs jump from one to another. Which leaves .NET in a weird position of having to go all-in, even if it has a high market share. Without that stigma it's fine, .NET has a lot of answers to various things even if you have to deal with the Microsoft flavor. Similar to Java which still dominates most of the market in the same space. |
