Companies don't understand technology. They understand buzzwords.

There's a checkbox to put the legacy system in the cloud, with no requirement that the system's design adjust to account for modern design principles, scalability, or cost.

CEO: Just put it in the cloud now!

A coworker once called this absurdity, "lift and shift".

It's definitely a lot more than just a lift and shift.

The companies are really struggling with managing their costs on cloud.

So far we haven't dealt with a single customer, from individuals to enterprise companies, who has been using their cloud resources even relatively efficiently.
