I didn't know it was required. I'll shoot them an email and ask, and start thinking of a different name. In the case of Gitea [0], there doesn't seem to have been any response. Thanks for bringing this up. Though I wonder how well can "Software Freedom Conservancy" claim "GitSomething" is not allowed when there are clearly so so many projects doing it.
