I mostyl use PlantUML and C4 Model (by Simon Brown). I have my own collection of PlantUML related resources [1]. I've also recently found these examples [2] which are really nice. I also do some sketchnoting (using pen & pencil) when I design a system for the first time. I wish I could easily convert those sketches to PlantUML. [1]: https://brainfck.org/#PlantUML
