The 8GB in the newest model is way better than in model from 2015. Way higher throughput matters a lot with M1. Also, very fast NVMe means that swapping disk is way less painful than on older laptops, especially those with HDDs. Still, 8GB is simply not enough for anything close to "pro" needs. |
