I can sort of see the point the writer is trying to make. Certainly inflation is not evenly distributed - see healthcare, see post-K-12 education, see housing - but all that said they don't seem to grapple with the recent history of inflation. I'm thinking of Volkher putting a stop to inflation by raising interest rates - cutting off the money supply. As for the idea that oligopolies are behind inflation, it seems a cry too much the reverse of saying it's all Governments fault. |
