If their company went through a regular pay assessment cycle, and they did not get an inflation adjustment, then they received a pay cut - especially if all other employees received an inflation bump. Many companies break down a cost of living adjustment separate from a performance increase, and it sounds like at the very least the op should be asking about a missing cost of living adjust. |
