Teams do have conventions. There's code review. There are linters and pretty printers. There's even a standard set of default linter rules in perlcritic, taken mostly from Damian Conway's Perl Best Practices. Perl has no problem from flexibility not shared by C, Common Lisp, JavaScript, Ruby, or Ada. |
