"Speed limits in the United States are generally set such that, unless there is heavy traffic, nearly everyone is speeding" Not only that, but you can get a ticket for going too slow. You also usually get tailgated if you're not driving over the speed limit -- just like everybody else. |

One of the reasons I hardly ever use conventional cruise control is it makes you drive in a way that minimizes speed changes rather than doing what makes sense in the context of other traffic.
