If you are a developer, why not create your own blog?

- github, or even better sourcehut as a repo + hosting - buy a domain for $10/y - hugo, jekyll (org-mode for pro)

This is what I do at the moment. I do have it on github pages. I've created account at dev.to some time ago but mainly to comment and follow other developers.

It seems to me that blogging platforms could bring more audience to me. Am I wrong?
