Using a VR screen could make a lot of sense here. Along with a split keyboard so he can have his hands flat on either side of his body.

Would also make it easier to get up off the bed

(I’m guessing someone that wants this setup finds getting in and out of bed somewhat challenging as well.)

Currently the Youtube and Netflix apps for Meta Quest-2 HMD both let you reposition the view stage laying down on your back or on pillows & it definitely takes the physical strain out of watching a full movie in VR. I agree this should be a standard option across all the apps.
