I'm actually working on something that might help with a large number of tabs and things not getting lost.

We're working on a chrome extension that allows users to leave highlights and comments on any webpage while being able to group them around different topics.

There's a locate button to take you to the exact text any time you want to access it again and a share button, for easy collaboration.
