"Back to the land" / "drop out of society" is going to be an easy sell to new parents for a while too; go back tot he marketing pitched at ex-hippies in the mid-70s and see what looks like it might sell today.

Neither of these solve the problem of a small number of young people supporting a large elderly population. Japan already has this problem. The issue is taxation for retirement and medical care, not child care. Back to the land and dropping out doesn’t solve any problem either, and isn’t practical at scale.
