In my wife's case, at least, it doesn't cause her psychosocial distress. It just means I usually have to wait until she's got other plans before I can order from a sushi restaurant (I say usually because sometimes she's fine with getting a noodle dish). None of the bullet points apply to her. In fact, I had more trouble finding food I could eat at restaurants when I was on the keto diet (and many years earlier when I was on a vegetarian diet), then she does right now. The parent poster also didn't mention anything about it significantly interfering with social functioning. |
