It happens in practice in India and other poor countries where any long term renter can claim their rights on the property. Court resolution will take decades to come at a decision. It is why nobody makes rental agreements longer than 11 months even if you live beyond 11 months. They will keep renewing that. They also do this to avoid government rent control and protection policies. |
