I once had a "laughing pillow" green with a smiling face on it. I dissasembled it age 9 and found a small record inside. Touching the belt produced some rather horrific low pitch laughing. It used a spring behind a button as "power" no batteries used

The laugh box! We had one of those and my father in law used to abuse it to make all sorts of creepy laughs for Halloween.

I want one again, now that you mention it. I had almost forgotten about those things.
