Really not a lawyer, and not in the US, so not sure I understand the 'work for hire'. But 'work for hire' requires some sort of employment contract, surely? And the pay was part of that contract? So if Disney doesn't uphold the contract, doesn't that mean it wasn't a work for hire, and therefore the copyright belongs to the author? |
