Haven't updated yet but I see the notification pending. Any one else bite the hook?

I recently installed Pop and did the upgrade a couple of days ago. The biggest change I noticed was the move to Pipewire. I have an external DAC on that laptop and it didn't work properly after the initial reboot.

It's working now though and I am not entirely sure why - there was nothing obvious in the logs. Otherwise, it seems pretty good (using the Nvidia version).

One thing that is bugging me a bit is that the much vaunted gaming compatibility doesn't seem to work very well on my hardware. Not that I use it for games but it would be nice not to have to drop back to Windows to play Cyberpunk 2077.

Are you playing it on steam? Stuff works pretty well overall for me with it and Proton, some games work better with Proton GE, which is easy to install, for non steam stuff I've been using Lutris

I usually check protondb if I have any issues with a game, it seems some launch options can help with cyberpunk: https://www.protondb.com/app/1091500

No, mostly I'm making it hard for myself.

I bought it off GOG, and was trying to run the windows copy from a mounted NTFS volume but no amount of fiddling, flags, versions of stuff seems to allow it to start.

I figure if I installed it locally it might work better. Will look at the ProtonDB entry I didn't think of doing that.
