My travel PC is a Raspberry pi4 - when home it's my home server. I run it off an SSD but that's recent because I bought one of those adorable NES cases. I carry it around with a Logitech keyboard/trackpad combo and an HDMI cable or two (USB power cables are already part of my travel kit) and, while not the most powerful thing, it's light and rugged enough for how I travel. It runs what I need on the go (browsing, youtube and video/photo editing, not to mention SSH and VPN software in case I need to hop back into my work's network), it fits nicely in my carry-on luggage with my tshirts and socks. I also have a chromebook that I use for basically the same things - it's not great but it's also enough for me when I travel. |
