Was this "we must adapt or die" a distasteful rhetoric or political blunder that angered some people for no reason or was a justification for some of his plans? I generally think people are mostly aware of the deltas in their living conditions, so it seemed interesting to me that people are still looking for a radical change even things are getting objectively better.
