Please go there and see for yourself and interact with the history of computing. You may also buy one of the maker kits to get started with [2]. I too have a similar keen interest and there are some fantastic volunteering opportunities to deep dive and learn about the history. [3] And there was this awesome Gaming Generations Exhibition that just got over last week [4].
