more likely a long slow decline with several factors off hand, a few factors I can think of are - a few users lost here and there due to “bad decisions” (as perceived by exiting customers)
- super saturated paid streaming market
- more people at home = more users but != more paying customers —- I think the biggest risk they face now is thinking that 100% of account sharing would be paying customers if they somehow eliminate sharing. That kind of thinking tends to lead to decisions that also push currently paying customers away AND makes new/returning customers think twice. Just my opinion. Full disclosure: I’m in the “no longer a paying customer, not account sharing, and probably won’t be using netflix in the near future” camp. |
