I'm a Senior Systems Administrator and team manager in the NOC for a multi-site Data Center company. I've gotten to the final round of interviews with several companies but they chose someone else instead in each case. IMO just a case of luck and timing with someone nudging me out or someone getting the position before my interview series is finished. Half of those companies reached out to me with recruiter themselves. I wouldn't say my resume is amazingly, but it's not preventing me from getting into interviews. I'm also not applying to a lot of different places or a variety of positions. I've been pretty selective for positions or companies that match what I'm interesting in doing and their work culture.
