That is not the war Germany started but the war Germany plays a significant role. You are so great guys in creating things but here in UA there are some claims that Germany created a warlord Putin... Btw Germany is significantly more northern then we and I think at least they need more gas for heating than we. Would be nice if Germany finds a powerful source of electricity for burning less gas at least for that. |

If I were in the position, I would try to settle the whole thing down as early as possible in the interest of my people and not try to fight back. Just a few kilometers² of area and very few losses in trade to chances to be a gatekeeper to Europe, less damage/costs, everything being able to operate further.. what would you choose?
The Ukraine and Ukrainian people will get as much can be given. Germany was a part of the befriending project in former times and it will be playing the same part in future - it's up to Ukraine to rethink the whole situation. They lost so much. The help, that Ukraine needs from other countries in near future, can't be taken only by a few countries. As one of the wealthiest countries, Germany will be the one who gives the most in Europe. If we cut gas at once, I don't think there will be any money left for helping then. We've twice as much people and the last 20 years opened up the rich-poor-scissors even more. The people wouldn't understand such a decision - the government is forced to walk on a line here. And yes, the pressure is big enough to minimize gas from RF.
and truly, I don't believe it would help anything. We can't cut buying resources from RF. Its not possible. The whole industry has just transformed to EV and stopped/stopping production of NEV. We need what they sell. As long there are no alternatives, I'm sorry, so long there are no alternatives.
Nevertheless. I hope it's a bad dream.
