If a repeated action is dangerous you cannot use a human interrupting themselves as your only control. It just won't happen. Overall this is a classic UI design failure. In addition to the "people physically can't take themselves off autopilot" problem, the interface destroys the user's data without providing a way to get it back. It would take relatively little engineering effort to make this reversible. |
