I think it's weird when techies think they know what's "good" or "bad" journalism. Writing code doesn't give you superpowers. Have you considered that maybe there's all kinds of journalism out there, and this is but one flavor of it?

It reads more like tabloid journalism rather than investigative/business/political, and her post history seems to confirm that.
