I think the answer is more complex. In Switzerland, it's mostly state-owned (with a few local concessions) and it runs very smooth and we have one of the most punctual railroads in the world. So just saying "state owned is bad" may no be the full answer, just a part of it. There are many factors that play a role and may lead to a different answer for a different country. |
