Interesting to hear. A friend also had a lot of trouble with Linode reliability and moved to a bigcorp after that. Running a multiplayer game, even turn-based, had huge hiccups and the problem simply didn't reproduce on the new systems. Iirc support couldn't do anything but I'd have to ask for the details. He spent a lot of time debugging it with a minimal example to rule out other causes, iirc a websocket pinging every few seconds on their kubernetes offering (again, I'd have to ask for the details), and it reproduced on Linode but not on the platform they were considering moving to (with a similar hosted kubernetes offering). |
