This is a gross oversimplification of the numerous biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to overweight/obesity. Yes, the common pathway is energy imbalance, but the implication that "fixing" that is in the realm of basic human choice is disrespectful. Consider that obesity is heavily influenced by your food environment, genes, and lifelong habits. Do any of those things sound easy to change? |
