To be fair, our 1000/400 connection is only marginally worse than an EC2 which benched in at 800/800.

What killed the server probably wasn't bandwidth, but load (database error). Which means that a small EC2 wouldn't have coped, either.

Just stick it behind a cloudflare and give up on decentralised internet, network neutrality and all that jazz
