+1 for unraid. I’ve been using it for about 4 years. IMO it’s usecase sits in between synology and a completely self administered server. I found synology features great, but was frustrated about the hardware lock in. I also didn’t want to spend too much time tinkering with a bare bones server. Enter unraid. I use it as a backup server, fileshare, time machine backup. As well as plex and other popular self hosted docker images. |
