It's a definitional distinction. The "black laptop market" is different from the "white laptop market", in much the same way as luxury good markets work (see also: the Apple Watch Edition). Price discrimination gets a bad rep because of the name I think, but as Wikipedia points out student discounts are probably the best example and are basically uncontroversial.
