Not necessarily in real money terms. Population isn’t growing much, and if there isn’t a massive money pump pushing down interest rates running (which is getting turned off shortly), the math gets a bit grim. Most if that appreciation is due to the steadily loosening standards since the early 80’s when a similar inflation spike drove up interest rates and gutted the housing market. |
