The author appears to mostly randomly choose from a menu of Slavic options, both wrt etymology and geography. For example “smrt” means “death” across Slavic languages, yet Czech is randomly chosen to be mentioned in the article. Similar problems with Croatia vs Serbia vs Yugoslavia are discussed in others’ comments. |
