"Cloud" has become such a buzzword. The original pitch of cloud service computing was decentralized distribution as a means of service downtime mitigation and redundancy. Here we have someone who dumped a handful of services on an SBC providing a single point of failure which is the complete and total opposite of what a cloud is. Rant aside, it's pretty great we can plop what was once needed a whole server rack onto a credit card sized device and call it a day but the "cloud" this is not. |
