My ID is one of the last reasons I need to carry a wallet around with me. It would be so freeing to just use a smart device to access identity restricted services (TSA, Liquor store, etc). Can’t wait for this to hit my state.

I don’t love the idea that my data is shared in a central DB, but honestly it’s way better than using a wallet which is much easier to lose or misplace!

Now your phone is the single poi t of failure. Smh.
A single point of failure for what? If you lose your physical ID you don’t have a failover; same with your credit cards.

Having copies of your cards in your phone actually makes the whole system not a single point of failure.

I see that once there is the digital "more convenient" way, the paper way will go away and the fight for it will be hard.

Also, ifyou are out with only a phone and no battery, there is also no failover.
