My apologies. I now see that it might look like a quote. I was trying to capture the sense of an HN submission (or perhaps it was some posts - I can't seem to find it now) from a few days ago that was discussing the abundance of opportunity we have these days for learning pretty much anything we might be interested in.
Years ago I would make weekly trips to the local university to read journals and drop a dime per page to copy articles of interest on the library's photocopier. The internet existed but was limited to universities etc.
