Yes. To pile on, if you're playing a First Person Shooter (FPS), you want at least double the Hz. It makes a difference. Additionally, there are other factors that gaming monitors offer such as brightening darker areas that are around a brighter area. But in general, this monitor, though it's impressive, does not have the features needed for gaming. |

That being the case, I'd much rather trade away frames in exchange for improved image quality, as I'm doing in this case.
