A qualitative review of the studies found a consistent and strong association between the exposure to fluoride and low IQ. ... Fluorosis is a condition where there’s so much flourine in the water that one’s teeth start getting brownish yellow spots. That’s not the level used in most water supplies. The study itself groups slight fluorosis areas with nonfluorosis as having no effect.
